Little seal
Derived from the Irish word 'rón' meaning seal, combined with a diminutive suffix. In Irish folklore, seals were often seen as magical creatures or 'selkies' that could take human form. The name was borne by several early Irish saints, contributing to its long-standing popularity in Ireland.
