From Rome or dew of the sea
Romee is a modern Dutch diminutive of Rosemary or Romana. It is often associated with the Latin 'ros marinus' meaning 'dew of the sea' or as a geographical name referring to the city of Rome. It has gained popularity in Northern Europe as a chic, minimalist choice.
