A story or poem; of the Roman language
Derived from the Old French 'romanz', it originally referred to the vernacular language of France (as opposed to Latin) and the literary works written in it. Over time, it evolved to signify tales of chivalry and eventually the modern concept of love and passion. As a name, it is exceptionally rare and carries a poetic, evocative quality.
