Recardo is a variant of Ricardo, which is the Spanish and Portuguese form of the Germanic name Richard. It is composed of the elements 'ric', meaning ruler or power, and 'hard', meaning brave or hardy. While less common than its counterpart Ricardo, it retains the same strong, authoritative connotations.
