Rayana is a name with multiple etymological paths. In Arabic, it is a feminine form of Rayyan, referring to one of the gates of paradise in Islamic tradition and the state of being well-watered. It is also occasionally used as a modern variation of the Hebrew name Raya, meaning friend.
