Ramin is a Persian name with deep roots in classical literature, most notably as the hero of the 11th-century epic 'Vis and Ramin'. It is derived from the Middle Persian word for joy or peace. In some interpretations, it is also associated with the concept of one who brings tranquility or tames the spirit.
