Firmament or expanse of the sky
Derived from the Hebrew word 'raqia', which appears in the Book of Genesis to describe the expanse of the heavens or the firmament created by God. It carries a celestial connotation, representing the vast space between the waters above and below. While rare in the United States, it is often chosen for its spiritual depth and airy, melodic sound.
