Compassionate, kind, or a pioneer
Raif has two primary etymological paths. In Arabic, it is derived from 'Ra'uf', meaning compassionate or kind-hearted. In a Germanic context, it is often considered a variant of Ralph, meaning 'wolf counsel' or 'pioneer'.
