Daughter of Briseus
In Greek mythology, Briseis (often spelled Priseis in certain transliterations or literary variations) was a princess of Lyrnessus. She is a central figure in Homer's Iliad, where her capture by Agamemnon from Achilles serves as a primary catalyst for the plot's conflict. The name is patronymic, simply identifying her as the daughter of Briseus.
