Light of God
Derived from the Sanskrit words 'Prabhu' meaning Lord or God, and 'Jyot' meaning light or flame. In the Sikh tradition, it represents the divine light or the flame of the Almighty within a person. It is a common name in the Punjab region of India and among the Sikh diaspora.
