Gracious
Oshane is a modern variation of the name Shane, which is an Anglicized form of the Irish name Seán. It ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan, meaning 'God is gracious'. While it is most frequently found in Jamaica and the Caribbean, it has gained some visibility in the United States as a unique alternative to Shane or Shawn.
