Oryan is primarily considered a modern spelling variant of the Greek name Orion, the hunter in Greek mythology. It is also sometimes linked to the Irish surname O'Ryan, meaning descendant of Rian, which translates to little king. In some Hebrew contexts, it is interpreted as a combination of Or (light) and Yan (God has answered).
