Holy spear or hearty spearman
Olegario is the Spanish and Portuguese form of the Germanic name Helgaud. It is composed of the elements 'hailag', meaning holy or healthy, and 'gari', meaning spear. Historically, it was borne by a 12th-century Saint Olegarius who was the Bishop of Barcelona.
