Seaweed or belief
In Japanese, Nori most commonly refers to edible seaweed, but when used as a name, its meaning depends on the kanji used, often signifying 'belief' or 'law'. It has also gained traction in English-speaking countries as a diminutive of Eleanor or Nora.
