Bright northman
Derived from the Germanic elements 'nord' meaning north and 'berht' meaning bright or famous. It was notably borne by Saint Norbert of Xanten, the 12th-century founder of the Premonstratensian order. While the English form Norbert is more common in Northern Europe, Norberto is the preferred Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian variation.
