A feminine form of Noel, derived from the Old French 'noël', which ultimately traces back to the Latin 'natalis' meaning 'birth'. While traditionally associated with the Christmas holiday, it more broadly signifies a celebration of birth. It is a rare alternative to the more common Noelle.
