Ninoshka is a Russian-influenced diminutive form of Nina, which itself has roots in several languages. In a Slavic context, it is often treated as a pet name for Anna, meaning 'grace' or 'favor'. It is particularly popular in Puerto Rico and other Spanish-speaking Caribbean communities.
