Victory of the people
Nikya is a modern variant of the name Nicole or Nikita, ultimately derived from the Greek name Nikolaos. It combines the elements 'nike' (victory) and 'laos' (people). While rare, it follows the trend of creating unique feminine forms from established classical roots.
