Nikiah is a modern American elaboration of the name Nicole or Nika, ultimately derived from the Greek name Nikolaos. It combines the classic roots of 'nike' (victory) and 'laos' (people) with a contemporary rhythmic suffix. While rare, it follows the trend of creating unique feminine forms from established Greek roots.
