Nery is a variant of the Hebrew name Neri, which means 'my lamp' or 'my light'. It is often used as a shortened form of Neriah, a name found in the Old Testament. In some Spanish-speaking cultures, it is also used as a masculine given name, though its usage remains rare globally.
