Nelia is a multifaceted name with several possible origins. It is often used as a diminutive of Cornelia (Latin for 'horn') or Antonelia, but it also appears in Spanish and Portuguese contexts as a short form of Manuela. In some instances, it is linked to the Greek name Helen, meaning 'sun ray'.
