Neave is an anglicized phonetic spelling of the Irish name Niamh. In Irish mythology, Niamh was a princess known as 'Niamh of the Golden Hair,' the daughter of the sea god ManannΓ‘n mac Lir, who lured OisΓn to the land of eternal youth, TΓr na nΓg.
