Naiya is a modern variation of the Greek name Naiad, referring to the nymphs who presided over fountains, wells, and brooks. It is also associated with the Arabic name Na'iya, meaning one who brings news. In many cultures, it is chosen for its fluid, melodic sound and connection to water.
