Jagged mountain
A variant of Montserrat, referring to the Virgin of Montserrat, a celebrated statue of the Virgin Mary in Catalonia. The name derives from the Latin 'mons serratus', describing the saw-toothed appearance of the mountain range where the monastery is located.
