Famed friend or sea friend
Marven is a variant of Marvin, derived from the Old Welsh name Merfyn or the Germanic elements meaning 'famed friend'. It is also sometimes associated with the Old English elements for 'sea friend'. While less common than Marvin, it retains a sturdy, mid-century feel.

Marven isn't in the latest US Top 1000. It last peaked at #5,301 in 2003.
