Of the sea; bitter; drop of the sea
Marisah is a modern variant of Marissa or Marisa, which are derived from the Latin 'maris' meaning 'of the sea'. It is also frequently associated with the Hebrew name Mary, which carries meanings of 'bitterness' or 'beloved'. The 'h' ending adds a contemporary, soft flair to the traditional sound.
