Marciana is the feminine form of Marcianus, a derivative of the Roman name Marcus. It ultimately traces back to Mars, the Roman god of war, suggesting strength and resilience. In history, it was borne by Ulpia Marciana, the beloved elder sister of the Roman Emperor Trajan.
