Laurel tree or honor
Lorisa is a modern elaboration of Lora or Laura, ultimately derived from the Latin 'laurus'. In ancient Rome, the laurel tree was a symbol of victory, honor, and poetic achievement. It may also be used as a variant of the Greek name Larissa, which refers to a citadel.
