Laurel or bay tree; honor and victory
Lorine is a French diminutive form of Lora or Laura, ultimately derived from the Latin word 'laurus'. In ancient Rome, the laurel tree was a symbol of victory, honor, and peace, often used to crown poets and conquerors. While it was moderately popular in the early 20th century, it is now considered a rare vintage choice.
