In Icelandic, Loa refers to the European Golden Plover, a bird whose arrival signals the start of spring. It may also have roots in Old Norse meaning to loll or lounge, or be used as a diminutive of various names. It is currently a rare choice in the United States, offering a minimalist and airy sound.
