Derived from the Greek word 'letho', meaning 'to be hidden' or 'forgotten'. In Greek mythology, Leto is a Titaness and the mother of Apollo and Artemis, though as a masculine name it is often associated with the Latin 'laetus' meaning 'happy' or 'joyful'.
