Son of a lion
Derived from the Greek name Leonidas, it combines 'leon' (lion) with the patronymic suffix '-ides'. It historically signifies strength and a noble, warrior-like lineage. While less common than the variant Leonidas, it carries the same heroic weight associated with ancient Spartan royalty.
