Truth, light, or path
Layna is a modern name with multiple possible etymologies. It is often considered a shortened form of Alayna or Helena, meaning 'light' or 'torch,' but it also has roots in Greek as a variant of Laina, meaning 'truth.' In some contexts, it is viewed as a variation of the Arabic name Layla.
