The bay laurel plant; symbol of victory
Laurin is a variation of Lauren or Laura, ultimately derived from the Latin 'laurus'. In ancient Rome, the laurel wreath was a symbol of honor, victory, and high status. While less common than its counterparts, it retains a connection to the natural world and classical achievement.
