Gracious
A modern American creation, Lashanda combines the popular prefix 'La-' with the name Shanda, a variant of Chandra or a diminutive of Alexandra. Most commonly, it is interpreted as a variation of Shawnda, which derives from the Hebrew name John, meaning 'God is gracious'. It rose to prominence in the United States during the late 20th century.
