Citadel or seagull
Larysa is a Ukrainian and Polish form of the Greek name Larissa. It likely derives from an ancient Pelasgian word for a fortress or citadel, though it is also associated with the Greek word for a seagull. In Greek mythology, Larissa was a nymph and the daughter of Pelasgus.
