Kizzie is a diminutive of Keziah, a name of Hebrew origin meaning 'cassia' or 'cinnamon'. In the Old Testament, Keziah was one of the three daughters of Job, known for their great beauty. The name gained cultural prominence in the 1970s through the character Kizzy in the book and miniseries Roots.
