Cherub or angel
Kirubel is the Amharic form of the biblical name Cherub, referring to a high-ranking order of angels. In Ethiopian tradition, it signifies a divine messenger or a being of great wisdom and holiness. It is a deeply spiritual name frequently chosen by families within the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
