Cyneburgas meadow or forest clearing
A modern elaboration of Kimberly, which originates from the Old English place name Kimberley. It combines the elements 'cyne' (royal), 'burg' (fortress), and 'leah' (woodland or clearing). While the suffix '-lyn' is a contemporary addition, the root name has deep roots in English history.
