Early baby or premature
Khady is a common West African diminutive of Khadija. In the Wolof tradition of Senegal and Gambia, it specifically refers to a child born prematurely or earlier than expected. It carries deep cultural significance as a variant of the name of the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad.
