Beloved or dear; friend
Karah is a modern variant of Cara, derived from the Italian word for 'dear' or 'beloved'. It is also sometimes associated with the Irish word 'cara' meaning 'friend'. The 'K' spelling gives it a more contemporary, American feel compared to its traditional European roots.
