Sky father or supreme god
Derived from the Latin 'Iuppiter', which combines 'dyeus' (sky) and 'pater' (father). In Roman mythology, Jupiter was the king of the gods and the god of the sky and thunder, equivalent to the Greek Zeus. It is also the name of the largest planet in our solar system.
