Young; queen of the gods
Juneau is a variant spelling of Juno, the name of the Roman queen of the gods and protector of marriage. It is also the name of the capital city of Alaska, named after gold prospector Joe Juneau. The name combines celestial mythology with a rugged, North American geographical feel.
