Juana is the Spanish feminine form of John, which ultimately derives from the Hebrew name Yochanan. It has been a royal name in Spain for centuries, most notably associated with Queen Juana I of Castile. While historically significant, it is currently less common in the United States than its variants like Joanna or Juanita.
