Father of the sky
Jovin is a rare derivative of Jove, the Roman king of the gods, also known as Jupiter. It shares the same linguistic roots as Jovian and Jovanni, ultimately stemming from the Latin 'Iuppiter'. In modern usage, it is often perceived as a contemporary blend of Joseph and Kevin.
Less common today
Jovin isn't in the latest US Top 1000. It last peaked at #5,959 in 2006.
