Jolin is a modern variant of Jolene or a phonetic adaptation of the Hebrew name Johanna. It combines the traditional roots of 'John' with a contemporary, streamlined suffix. In some contexts, it is also used as a transliteration of the Chinese name Jolin (Cai Yilin).
