Jerricka is a modern American invention, likely created by blending the Germanic name Jeri or Gerald with the suffix -ica, or as a feminine elaboration of Jerick. It carries the etymological roots of 'spear' and 'ruler' from its parent components. While rare, it follows the 1980s and 90s trend of creating unique feminine forms of established masculine names.
