Spear-brave or spear-ruler
A variant of Garrett, which derives from the Germanic names Gerard or Gerald. It combines the elements 'ger' meaning spear and 'hard' meaning brave or 'wald' meaning rule. It has been used as both a surname and a given name in English-speaking countries.
