God has given; gift of God
Janathan is a rare variant of Jonathan, which stems from the Hebrew name Yehonatan. It combines the elements 'Yeho', referring to the Hebrew God, and 'natan', meaning to give. While much less common than its traditional counterpart, it retains the same significant biblical roots.
