Hyacinth flower
Derived from the Greek name Hyakinthos, it refers to the hyacinth flower. In Greek mythology, the hyacinth sprang from the blood of a youth accidentally killed by Apollo. The name has long been used in Spanish and Portuguese cultures to honor Saint Hyacinth.
